Certificate in Grantwriting is a unique, high-quality course on writing grants, prospect research, and grants management. The course includes two components -- an online, on-demand course that you take at your own pace and a series of nine video conferences for deeper discussion and networking. The course can be started at any time. During the course, each student completes a grant proposal with feedback and encouragement from the instructor. Additional topics include where to find grants, how to build a case statement, proposal writing, building relationships with grantmakers, ethics, and more. The typical time commitment is two hours per week on your own, plus one hour per week for the group video conference. Students must complete a grant proposal to receive the certificate. Group video conferences are optional. Students do not need to be currently employed with a nonprofit nor do they need to have a specific grant in mind. This will be covered in the course.
Investment is $499 per students and the nine-week video conference series is June 29-August 17, 2021, 12-1pm PST on Tuesdays. Nonprofit Association of Oregon members receive a 10% discount.
