The Census Data for Grantwriters Workshop is geared toward grant writing professionals and individuals interested in learning the basics of using census data in grant proposal writing. Workshop participants will learn where to locate census demographics to help build an effective case for project funding.

Major workshop topics include:

  • Census concepts and geography
  • Navigating the census website
  • Understanding census data products
  • Presenting data in a grant proposal
    • Attendees will gain access to mapping tools, tables, and other proposal development resources.

      Training Format

      PowerPoint combined with a demonstration on the Internet in a regular classroom setting.

      Event fee includes continental breakfast.
