Asset Building Cohort on Sustainability Program

The Nonprofit Association of Oregon is pleased to announce the creation of a new program aimed at supporting leaders and organizations working in the field of asset building. Loosely defined, asset building organizations are organizations primarily focused on moving low‐income people out of poverty. Some activities of asset building organizations include building financial knowledge, increasing savings through mechanisms like Individual Development Accounts and helping to support the creation and maintenance of microenterprises, particularly among refugees and immigrants.

Generously supported by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Asset Building Cohort on Sustainability (ABCS) Program will provide asset building organizations with exposure to experts in organizational and personal sustainability, peer‐based training, and one‐on‐one coaching over a period of five months.
