Cliff Jones, Senior Consultant
Nonprofit Association of Oregon
Continental Breakfast & Networking at 8:30
Presentation at 9:00
Creating the Board you need is a carefully planned, intentional process. To get there, you need to define who you are and what you need, and then build strong relationships over time and create clear expectations at the time of recruitment. This interactive session will focus on how to define the kind of Board that you want, including a comprehensive profile of skills, connections, and backgrounds. It will also help your group define a strategy for identifying and recruiting prospective Board members. Finally, it will tie the recruiting process into a broader context of Board development, evaluation, and recognition. The session will have supporting materials, lively discussion, and great ideas you can put to work immediately.
