Fundraising on a Mission
Pizza, Salad, No-host Bar & Networking at 5:00
Presentation at 5:30
Fundraising is a primary duty of each and every Board member—but how do you get the Board on board with that responsibility? To work efficiently, the Board—like any team—needs a plan, assigned roles, and someone to call the plays and coordinate the team. And, every player needs to keep the goal in sight. Whether you “win” or fall short depends a lot on who is on your team and how you play together.
In this session, we will explore the love/hate relationship of Board fundraising, including:
- Essentials of fundraising
- The fundraising cycle
- Industry standards for fundraising
- Getting your Board involved in fundraising
You will receive samples of a Board agreement contract and individual Board fundraising plans. And, Clarinda will provide a check list that examines the various levels of Board fundraising:
- Building the Foundation
- “Friend Raising”
- Solicitation
