We strengthen the sector by educating nonprofits and those who support them about public policy issues that impact us. We advocate with the media to promote nonprofit perspectives in the news, and also alert the media about issues affecting the sector. We educate policy makers, opinion leaders, and community members about the vital role nonprofits play in making our communities better places to live. In order to be a strong and effective voice for nonprofits, we need your voice through your membership.

We partner with experts in nonprofit administration, fiscal management, fundraising, human resources, marketing, and more to provide you with information, resources, and tools for best practices. In addition to useful tips in our monthly eNews and helpful FAQs through our Helpline, your membership provides discounts for publications and subscriptions such as Nonprofit Quarterly. Your membership also offers you discounts for our well-known nonprofit training networks and workshops.

Stay Connected

Every nonprofit can benefit by joining forces with other nonprofits for networking, peer learning, and group problem-solving. Networking opportunities help you to make new connections, and strengthen existing ones. Each year, thousands of nonprofit professionals attend one of over 100 training events and convening events sponsored by NAO. You can also share ideas with peers in NAO-sponsored online forums.
